The wrong truth - from the wrong person

The UN conference on racism in Geneva got a head start yesterday. The conference is boycotted by the US, Israel and some other countries - they were probably afraid that they would be forced to listen to unpleasant truths. And how right they were!

The first speaker, Iranian president Ahmadinejad, made no one disappointed when he, according to "plans", labelled Israel a racist state. And, also according to the same plans, most of the present representatives from Western "democratic" countries rose and left the assembly, all very indignant over the horrible accusations... and from such a horrible person!

The problem is, he is 100 percent right. Israel is a thoroughly racist state. Racism is the fundament of Israel: a nation for Jews. That was the whole idea behind the making of Israel - a making of Western "democratic" countries.
After the 2nd World War "everybody" felt sorry for the Jews, which they should do! The Holocaust was a terrible thing, one of the worst in the history of mankind.
So, in order to make things up to the Jewish people, they were granted a piece of land in the Middle East. "A land without people, for a people without land", as the slogan went. But, unfortunately, it was a lie.
It wasn't a land without people that was given to build the new Jewish nation. That piece of land was populated by Arabs. The whole scheme was a disatrous mistake and both sides - Jews and Arabs - continue to pay for it.

Set aside the cleansing of the 1940's. Set aside the occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza strip, the building of the "security wall" on Palestine lands and the over-the-top violence conducted during the various attacks and counter-attacks on Palestinians over the years.
Set aside all that, and you will still have a situation within Israel proper that is very close to that of South Africa during the apartheid era. The discrimination against the (remaining) Arab population of Israel covers all aspects of life: work, housing, education.

You may well condemn Iran, and Islam and the fundamentalist Moslems. But the fact is that president Ahmadinejad's description of Israel yesterday is correct.
